What Human Verified means
Our team speaks directly with the practice, checks licenses and restrictions with the state licensing boards, and has the verification reviewed by a Registered Nurse. The badge is re-verified every 6 months and expires automatically if not renewed.
The six standards
Every Human Verified med spa meets all six. There is no partial badge: if a practice does not meet any one standard, it is not Human Verified. Each card says how that standard is checked — verified means we confirmed it against an independent source; documents reviewed means the practice provided records that our Registered Nurse examined.
Medical Director Oversight
A licensed physician oversees treatment protocols, on-site or via documented supervision. We confirm the named physician holds an active, unrestricted license with the state medical board.
Verified with the state board
Clean Room Protocols
Written sterilization and infection-control procedures, with single-use disposables where required. The practice provides its protocol and our Registered Nurse reviews it.
Documents reviewed
Licensed Injectors Only
All injectable treatments are performed by RNs, NPs, PAs, or physicians. We check every named injector’s license status and restrictions with the state board.
Verified with the state board
Continuing Education
Staff complete annual training on the modalities they perform. The practice provides current-year certificates, which we collect and review.
Documents reviewed
Transparent Consent
Patients receive clear, written informed consent covering risks, alternatives, and pricing before any procedure. We review the practice’s consent forms.
Documents reviewed
Emergency Readiness
Anaphylaxis kits, emergency protocols, and a documented adverse-event response plan. The practice provides its written plan and attests to on-site readiness.

Who does the checking
A member of our team speaks directly with the practice and gathers the records behind each standard. Licenses — the medical director’s and every named injector’s — are checked against the state licensing boards, including any restrictions on file. A Registered Nurse then reviews the complete record and approves or rejects the verification. Every verification names the RN who reviewed it and the date.
Payment never buys the badge. A subscription covers the verification work; the result depends only on whether the practice meets the standards. Sponsored placement is a separate, disclosed feature — a listing can be Human Verified without being sponsored, and sponsored without being Human Verified.
What the badge shows — and the 6-month rule
The badge carries two public dates: when the listing was last verified, and the date its verification remains valid through — 6 months later. When that window passes without re-verification, the badge is removed automatically. An expired verification is never displayed as current, and the listing itself stays in the directory.
Complete, verified listings are also easier for search engines and AI assistants to read and cite — a claim about the listing itself, never about any particular assistant’s answers or a guaranteed ranking.
Not every listing has a badge. Most of the 18,000+ med spas here were found from public sources and have not completed Human Verification — their pages show the information we hold, without the badge. A check mark reading “Owner verified” means the business confirmed ownership of its listing; it is not Human Verification.
What Human Verification is not
Human Verification confirms the information reviewed on this profile. It is not an endorsement, medical advice, or a guarantee of clinical quality, treatment availability, or outcomes.
