Editorial, Verification & Ranking Policy

The short version
Medical Spa Locator is a comparison directory, not a licensing board or medical provider. Listed, Claimed Profile, Medspa Trust Index™, Human Verified, Governed, and Sponsored each describe a different factual status. Claiming or paying never creates a Human Verified badge.
Listing data and sources
Core business fields may come from Google Places and other publicly available business records. These can include a business name, address, phone number, website, location, rating, and review count. Owners may supply or correct descriptions, treatments, photos, prices, offers, and booking links after claiming a listing.
Google ratings and review counts are displayed as third-party data. We do not convert them into our own patient-verification claim. Details can change between refreshes, so patients should confirm prices, hours, credentials, and treatment availability directly with the provider.
Profile and trust vocabulary
Listed med spa: a discoverable directory record built from public business data. It carries no verification checkmark.
Claimed Profile: the owner controls the listing's name, hours, contact information, and public details. It is an ownership status, not independent verification, and carries no verification checkmark.
Medspa Trust Index™: the evidence layer that organizes profile and transparency signals. AI visibility is a supporting capability, not part of the product name. The Index does not rate clinical quality or guarantee outcomes.
Human Verified: this profile's owner authority and patient-facing information were checked by our team under the published verification process. A current badge requires a valid last-verified date and valid-through date. Verification confirms the listed information that was checked, and is not an endorsement, medical advice, or a guarantee of outcomes. See the checks and governance record.
Governed: the Human Verification record remains subject to its public review window. The badge is removed when that window expires without re-verification.
Rankings and paid placement
Directory and search pages place paid Enterprise and Premium listings in a clearly labeled Sponsored listings section before other listings. Within a placement group, the selected Google rating or Google review-count sort is applied. Claimed listings may also precede free listings. Treatment and location filters determine eligibility before ordering. Sponsored is paid visibility, not Human Verification or a medical endorsement, and it does not replace credential checks.
Editorial and medical review
Directory records and editorial guides serve different purposes. Treatment, safety, candidacy, and recovery content that carries a named medical-review byline is reviewed for medical accuracy under our medical review process. A reviewer byline applies only to the page on which it appears and is not an endorsement of listed businesses.
Educational content is general information, not diagnosis or personal medical advice. Sources and update dates should appear on the relevant guide when available.
Corrections and removals
To report an incorrect listing, outdated fact, ownership issue, or safety concern, email hello@medicalspalocator.com and include the page URL and supporting evidence. We review substantiated corrections and may update, annotate, unpublish, or remove content as appropriate.
