- Population: active listings in the Medical Spa Locator directory. Test and seeded records are removed and listings sharing a phone and address are counted once.
- Ratings and review counts are Google Places data, shown as third-party Google-rated figures. Individual reviews are not authenticated.
- Counts describe directory coverage. They are not a census of US med spas and cannot support claims about market size, quality or prices.
- Rating bands are computed over listings with a rating above zero. State mean ratings are unweighted and shown only for states with at least 10 providers.
- Price medians use approved anonymous reports, require at least 5 per treatment (the same minimum as the state price pages) and are never imputed.
- Figures are cached for 24 hours. The same calculation runs in

Only where the sample is large enough. A median is published only for a treatment with at least 5 approved anonymous patient reports. Those reports are self-reported, unverified and not representative of the market, so a median is a description of the sample, not a market average. Below the minimum the cell is suppressed rather than estimated.
How was this report built?+
Every active listing is read from the directory, test records and duplicates (same phone and address) are removed, and counts, rating bands and review totals are computed from what remains. The same code is run by a build script so the figures can be reproduced. The result is cached for 24 hours.
