Medical Spa Locator maintains one of the largest directories of U.S. medical spas — more than 18,000 verified providers across 1,000+ cities. We analyzed the dataset to surface what consumers actually encounter when they search for aesthetic care in 2026. (Figures below are drawn from the live directory and update as the data refreshes.)
The dataset at a glance
Our analysis covers 18,000+ active medical spas spanning all 50 states and over 1,000 cities, aggregating real Google ratings and review counts for each provider. That scale makes it possible to compare local markets and treatment availability rather than relying on a single metro.
Ratings run high — but review volume is the real differentiator
Med spas tend to cluster at the top of the rating scale, with most established providers averaging well above four stars. Because ratings compress near the top, total review volume is the more useful signal for consumers: a 4.8 across 800 reviews is far more reliable than a 5.0 across a dozen.
The most in-demand treatments
Injectables lead demand by a wide margin, with Botox and dermal fillers offered by the largest share of providers, followed by laser hair removal, medical weight loss (GLP-1 medications like semaglutide), and skin treatments such as microneedling and HydraFacial.
Local markets vary widely
Provider density and pricing differ sharply by metro. Larger markets offer more choice and competition, while smaller cities often have a handful of standout providers. Comparing within your own city — by rating and review volume — is the most practical way to choose.
